Intended use

The greatmade reusable spo2 sensor is connected with the compatible pulse oximeter for continuous non-invasive
monitoring of functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO2) and pulse rate(PR) for adult patients
weighing greater than 40kg and pediatric patients weighing 10-50kg.

Models
The reusable spo2 sensor includes six serials sensor and its description is as follows:

Note:The SpO2 sensor is designed to match the specifications of the original equipment manufacturer, therefore
ensure the appropriative sensor model number is selected for a particular pulse oximeter technology. Each sensor
has unique labeling and specifications designed for compatibility with the specific monitor manufacturer(Nellcor,
Nonin,BCI,GE and so on ).

6pin Connector

The SpO2 measurement is based on the absorption of pulse blood oxygen to red and infrared light by means of
sensor and SpO2 measuring unit(Pulse Oximeter). The light-electronic transducer in sensor converts the pulse red and
infrared light modulated by pulse blood oxygen into electrical signal, the signal is processed by hardware and software
of SpO2 measuring unit(Pulse Oximeter). The pleth curve Or(and) numeral value of SpO2 will be obtained

Instructions

1) Hold the sensor with its opening towards the patient's index finger, toes, palm or sole. The side with a finger or toes
2) Put the patient's measurement part into the sensor until the tip against at the end of the sensor.
3) Adjust the measurement part to be placed evenly on the middle base of the sensor.
4) Direct the cable along the top of the patient's hand or foot.
5) Plug the sensor into the proper oximeter and verify operation as described in the oximeter operator's manual.
6) Inspect the sensor site every 2 hours for skin integrity.

Cleaning & Disinfection

1) Unplug the sensor before cleaning or disinfecting.
2) Dip clean the applied part (sensor part) in a mild detergent solution, or a 70% isopropy alcohol solution. If low-level
disinfection is required, use a 1:10 bleach solution.
3) Clean the sensor part (not the connector) with the wet cloth ,and then dry it up with the dry cloth in the end

1) This sensor is only use with compatible patient monitors or pulse oximeter.
2) User should verify the compatibility of the monitor, sensor, and cable before use, otherwise cause patient injury.
3) Check the site every 2 hours (more frequently if perfusion is poor).
4) Routinely check to ensure adequate distal circulation to the sensor site.
5) Carefully route cables to reduce any possibility of patient entanglement or strangulation.
6) Patient conditions (such as reddening, blistering, skin discoloration, ischemic skin necrosis, and skin erosion) may
warrant changing the site frequently or using a different style of sensor.
7) Do not use the sensor if the sensor or the cable appears damaged.
8) This device is not intended for use in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) environment.
9) Conditions that may cause inaccurate reading and impact alarms include interfering substances, excessive ambient
light, electrical interference, excessive motion, low perfusion, low signal strength, incorrect sensor placement, poor
sensor fit, and movement of the sensor on the patient.
10) Do not use a blood pressure cuff or arterial blood pressure measurement device on the same limb as the sensor site.
11) It is possible for any device to malfunction; therefore, always verify unusual data by performing a formal patient
assessment.
12) The sensor should be disinfected before each use.
