Usage Instructions
1. Connection
Insert the 9-pin connector securely into the ECG monitor port.
Connect the snap/clip electrodes to the corresponding leadwire ends.
Ensure correct lead placement according to the 3-lead configuration:
RA (Right Arm) – below the right clavicle.
LA (Left Arm) – below the left clavicle.
LL (Left Leg) – left lower abdomen or above the left hip.
2. Electrode Application
Clean the skin with alcohol wipes; allow to dry.
Shave excessive hair if needed to ensure good contact.
Attach disposable ECG electrodes to the skin, then connect leadwires.
Check signal quality on the monitor; reapply electrodes if noisy.
3. Monitoring
Ensure the patient is relaxed and skin contact is stable.
Avoid patient movement and external electrical interference for best results.
For long-term monitoring, periodically check electrode adhesion and patient comfort.
Cleaning & Disinfection
Important: Disconnect from the monitor before cleaning. Do not autoclave, immerse in liquids, or sterilize with radiation.
1. Routine Cleaning
Wipe cable and leadwires with a soft cloth lightly moistened with mild soap solution or 70% isopropyl alcohol.
Avoid liquid entering the connector or electrode snaps.
2. Disinfection
Use 70% isopropyl alcohol or manufacturer-approved disinfectant wipes.
For higher-level disinfection, some cables tolerate diluted bleach (≤10%)-check manufacturer's guidance.
3. Drying
Allow cables to air-dry completely before reuse or storage.
Store coiled loosely, away from direct sunlight and high heat.
