How to Use the 10-Lead Snap Leadwire with the CARDIOVIT FT-1
1. Connect the Leadwire to the ECG Device
Locate the ECG cable input on the CARDIOVIT FT-1
Firmly insert the connector end of the 10-lead cable into the ECG port until it clicks into place.
2. Prepare the Patient
Have the patient lie down in a comfortable, supine position.
Clean the skin areas where the electrodes will be placed using alcohol wipes to ensure good contact.
3. Attach Electrodes to the Patient
Snap ECG electrodes onto each of the leadwire snap ends.
Place electrodes on the patient's body according to standard AHA 10-lead placement:

| V3 | Midway between V2 and V4 |
| V4 | 5th intercostal space, midclavicular line |
| V5 | Level with V4, left anterior axillary line |
| V6 | Level with V4, left midaxillary line |
4. Verify Hook-Up on the Screen
The CARDIOVIT FT-1 has a lead placement guide and hook-up adviser.
It will show real-time connection status-ensure all leads are connected properly.
The device may warn if a lead is disconnected or placed incorrectly.
5. Start the ECG Recording
Once placement is verified, use the touchscreen interface to initiate the ECG.
You can record a resting ECG or a rhythm strip, depending on your clinical need.
6. Print or Save the Results
Results can be printed using the built-in thermal printer or saved/exported via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to your EMR/HIS system.
After Use
Remove electrodes gently from the patient.
Detach and clean the leadwires per your facility's infection control protocols.
Store the cable properly to avoid tangling or damage.
